Each candlestick height measures 6 1/4" and the square base measures 3 1/4”.

Lion passant - certifies this piece as sterling silver
Town mark, corresponding to the mark of the Assay Office that has verified the piece – is an uncrowned leopards head (London)
Date letter U with the shape of shield dates this late 18th century (around 1877)
Sovereign head ('duty mark'), certifying the payment of the duty
Condition: candlesticks display normal wear for their age – light scratching, small dings; felt is missing from bottom of one; a slight separation (bend) where the top nozzle meets the pillar. See photos.
