    Description

    The Silesian Eagle (
    Schlesischer Adler
) was established in June, 1919, after the conclusion of WWI.
I was awarded to members of the German Freikorps, a para-military organization
fighting the uprisings by Polish elements in the German province of Silesia during the early years of the German Weimar Republic.
The medal was awarded in two classes - 2nd class for three months of service and 1st class for 6 months of service -  and could be worn with oak leaves, swords, or both. With restrictions, the medal could be worn by
    Wehrmacht
    soldiers.
This is a very nice enameled replica of the Second Class grade of the award.  It comes with a six-inch length of the correct full size 30 mm ( not the narrow 25 mm ribbon bar width) ribbon. The detail on this medal is impressive.  You will not be disappointed.
The medal measures 43 mm high and 30 mm across and weighs 20 grams (0.7 oz.)
