    SCARCE
    The Defense of Przemyśl took place between 11 and 14 September 1939, during the German Invasion of Poland. The Polish Army garrison of the former Austrian fortress of Przemyśl  managed to halt the advance of the Wehrmacht for three days. The city surrendered on 14 September.
