This is a silver 3 grossus (groschen) coin with a crowned bust of Stephan Bathory (Stefan Batory, or Steponas Batoras in Lithuanian).
Stephen Báthory was Voivode of Transylvania, Prince of Transylvania, from 1576 Queen Anna Jagiellon's husband and jure uxoris King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.
. The inscription on the king's side reads STEP for Steponas, D G for 'by the Grace of God,' and REX for king. The ARG TRIP CIVI RIGE indicates the city of Riga (now Latvia).
