Description
Presented is a handsome pair of Redlich sterling silver three light candelabra, dating to around the 1920s-1940s. These candelabra are very stylish and appealing, with a notched-corner square design for the bobeches and the bases. The central shaft is done in matching style, tapered with square paneled sides and notched corners. The arms are done in an elegant scrolled form, with almost a stylized wing design to them. The bobeches are removable for ease of cleaning. The candelabra are weighted for stability. The candelabra have been professionally cleaned and polished. This pair is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each candelabra is stamped on the underside with the Redlich maker's mark as well as sterling and the number 2146, as well as weighted. The bobeches are also marked sterling.
Each candelabra is about 9 1/8 inches tall. The arms have a span of about 10 1/4 inches.
The total weight for the pair 1469 grams. Due to the weighting, not all of this weight is sterling silver. The total weight for just the bobeches, which are solid sterling silver, is 155 grams. They are heavy, made from fairly thick gauge sterling silver, which gives an idea of how thick the sterling silver of the candelabra themselves is.
