GORHAM STERLING SILVER CANDLESTICK PAIR with MARBLE BASE
ETRUSCAN PATTERN NO. 1359
Up for auction is a pair of vintage Gorham sterling silver candlesticks on square black marble bases.  These classic single candlesticks with straight stems measure approximately 7 1/2" tall with round bottoms finished in Etruscan interlocking key design.  The sterling sticks screw into each base and can be removed for cleaning and polishing.  The square marble bases measure 3 7/8" on each side and 7/8" thick.  Each candlestick with marble base weighs approximately 2 pounds 5 ounces.
The condition of the candlesticks is good overall with some light scratches and spotting on the surfaces and a few spots of tarnish as seen on the round base and stems in the second photo.  The marble bases have some chips on the corners as seen in the third photo.  This does not detract from the overall beauty of these candlesticks.  On the bottom of the marble base is a cutout portion that is marked "GORHAM STERLING Cement reinforced with rod or other metal 1359."
