    Item & Condition
    For your consideration, we have this exceedingly rare piece of Pabst history, a “Best” logo, prohibition era glass bar sign.  Approaching a century in age, it has survived with the original glass intact.  The wooden frame is missing, and two 7.5mm holes have been drilled in either side near the top of the sign for hanging purposes.  Micro chips are visible around these holes, and occasionally exist elsewhere on the edges of the 50cm (19.75”) sign.  There are some fine scratches elsewhere on the glass, mostly on the extreme edges.  The back side is covered in a thick black paint, it looks to have been retouched at some point.  The entire piece weighs just a tad under 6 lbs. (2.7kg).  We believe the piece was originally manufactured by the Cincinnati Sandblast Co., though we welcome an update to this information if necessary.  There is some separation of the paint and glass layers, resulting in a sort of “wet plastic bag” effect when viewed closely.  The overall colors and hand-embellished details of the sign itself are still remarkably intact.  Any questions please ask.
