Description
This is an antique Japanese Meiji Era (c. 1880) Imari ceramic plate with a hand painted design of a plants and leaves. The plate has scalloped edges reminiscent of a chrysanthemum flower. The plate is made with high fired ceramics for lasting durability. Please enjoy the closeup photos to admire the finely painted details in deep red, cobalt blue, orange and gold. The center is decorated with ginko leaves and around the edge are chrysanthemums, gourds, horses and raised white blossoms.This
plate measures 8 1/2" square by 1 1/2" tall (21.5 x 4 cm). Having been in storage for over a century this plate remains in
fine
condition
