ANTIQUE LONDON STERLING SILVER CHAMBERSTICK CANDLE HOLDER BY ROBERT JONES I, DATED 1781
You are offered the opportunity to bid on this antique sterling silver chamberstick candleholder, made by silversmith Robert Jones in 1781 (London).  The piece has a raised candle  holder with removable bobeche and a handle to one side. The handle has been repaired at its junction with the bottom plate and we have pictured this. There may also have been an object fitting into a small hole at the edge of the handle.  The piece is 5" in diameter, not including the handle, which extends another inch outward.  It stands about 3-3/4" tall.  The bottom plate is a bit wavy and bent from so many years of being carried room to room and stored, but this is not at all surprising given the piece is 240 years old.  It has a full set of London hallmarks underfoot identifying the maker and year as well as designating it as sterling silver.  It weighs 6.04 troy ounces.
