    For many years the former Southern Railway issued desk calendars to its freight customers as an advertisement. For auction is one such calendar for the year 1957. The calendar features a color rendering of Southern diesels pulling a passenger train in the center, with the Southern logo and motto "The Southern Serves the South". Surrounding this picture are 12 monthly calendars.
